Underneath the small fountain (ital. pozzo) on the site of Villa Massimo a manhole is hidden. It is uncertain where it leads. Perhaps one finally reaches East Germany after a journey through the countless historical layers of Rome? Passing the images of the past, time and space seem to flow into each other between the places.
